PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive small and having a superior in-vehicle mountability. SOLUTION: The drive has a differential mechanism 12 and a motor 25, and drives the driving wheels of a vehicle. The differential mechanism 12 comprises a differential case 14 having a final reducing large gear 13 and two axle shafts 17a, 17b each of which is connected to the drive wheels. On the outside of one axle shaft 17b, a hollow rotor shaft 21 is arranged in coaxial to the axle shaft, and the rotor shaft is fitted with a rotor 26 of the motor 25. A reducing shaft 31 is arranged in parallel to the axle shaft 17b, and is provided with a driven gear 35 engaging with a driving gear 34 fitted on the rotor shaft 21 and with a final reducing small gear 36 engaging with the final reducing large gear 13.
