PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly keep acceleration feeling regardless of an environmental element having an influence on an engine output state and a traveling load applied on a vehicle, at the time of downshifting of a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: At the time of downshifting, a transmission ratio is adjusted on the basis of a transmission ratio changing speed setting by a transmission ratio changing speed setting means. At least either one of a transmission ratio changing speed or a transmission ratio changing speed switching threshold in the transmission ratio changing speed setting means is changed according to the physical quantity of the environmental element having an influence on the output state of an engine mounted on the vehicle. Therefore, at least either one of the transmission ratio changing speed or the transmission ratio changing speed switching threshold is changed according to the state of the environmental element having the influence on the output state of the engine, so that acceleration feeling can be constantly kept.
