Staircase, uses tongue and groove system in step and wall board to click fit steps into position

A groove with a width of 5 mm and depth of 5 mm is cut in the top side of the step (1) at a distance of more than 2 cm from the step face at the wall board end. This groove is chamfered at an angle of 20 deg. towards the stair stringer side. The opposite side of the step to the groove is provided with two adjoining chamfers. A groove (8) with a depth of 2 cm and dimensions corresponding to the width and thickness of the step is cut in the wall board (2) and this groove is partly protected at the front by a vertical tongue with a width of 5 mm and a height of 5 mm protruding downwards from the groove's upper side wall. The tongue is provided with a chamfer of 20 deg. on its rear side. The lower side wall of the groove is provided with a chamfer of 15 deg. The step can be click-fitted into the wall board secured to the staircase wall so that the tongue engages with the groove in the step and the end of the step engages with the groove in the wall board.
