<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-wheeled-drive vehicle that can prevent a tight corner braking phenomenon and enhance the traveling performance and safety of the vehicle on a low μ road. <P>SOLUTION: When the vehicle proceeds into a tight corner (S18: Yes), whether the corner is a low μ road or not is judged (S22). When the corner is judged to be not the low μ road (S22: No), the occurrence of the tight corner braking phenomenon is prevented by reducing an engaging force T of a clutch 19. When the corner is judged to be the low μ road (S22: Yes), the engaging force T of the clutch 19 is increased in response to a revolution difference ΔT between front wheels and rear wheels and driving force is allocated to the four wheels accordingly, thereby enabling the vehicle to show a superior traveling performance and safety even when making a quick turn at a low speed on the low μ road, such as a snowy road, a sandy road or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
