PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technology which can easily secure electromagnetic wave shielding property of a connector hole opened in a fitting wall to fit an optical connector such as an optical connector adapter. SOLUTION: Provided is the optical connector 10 with an electromagnetic wave shielding function which displays electromagnetic shielding performance by arranging a shield plate 15d of an electromagnetic wave shield member 15 arranged so as to cross a plug hole 14a of the optical connector adapter 14 at the axially center part of the plug hole 14a so that the connector hole of the fitting wall where the optical connector adapter 14 is fitted, is closed.
