PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rainwater from entering into a tail pipe of an exhaust air silencer as well as to avoid an engine made dirty by the rainwater in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A cut-off plate 18 is mounted to an exhaust pipe 15 in such a way that the rainwater coming from an elliptical outlet 17A of a tilted cylinder 17 of the exhaust pipe is prevented from penetrating into the inside of the tail pipe 14. Accordingly, through a simple structure by providing the cut-off plate 18 made of a sheet of a plate to the exhaust pipe 15, the rainwater can be avoided from entering the tail pipe 14. Furthermore, by making a length of the exhaust pipe 15 short, the rainwater passing through the inside surface of the exhaust pipe 15 to which soot and dirt are adhered is restrained from getting dirty. Thus, the periphery of an engine 7 is kept clean without providing a drainage hose or the like additionally. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
