PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight pneumatic tire of high fuel efficiency which prevents the breakage of a bead core. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire of the present invention, an inner periphery end part of the tire is embedded with a bead core 3, and the bead core 3 is formed by bead wires 21 comprising titanium metal wires (titanium alloy wires). Preferably the bead core is annularly formed by winding titanium metal wires of the bead wires which are stacked in the axial and radial direction of the tire. Further, the titanium metal wires are more preferably titanium alloy wires having the structure ofα-phase,β-phase orα+βphase. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
