PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance recording resolution by enhancing the accuracy of direction for ejecting a liquid drop from an ejection opening thereby ejecting a micro liquid drop efficiently from the ejection opening. SOLUTION: One heater 2 is provided in each ink channel 5 and ejection openings 4 are arranged on a line extending from the center of the major surface of the heater 2 in the direction normal to the surface of a substrate 1. A non-bubbling region is provided in the center of the projected area of the ejection opening 4 on the surface of the substrate 1. A bubble boiled by the heater 2 pushes out ink from the ejection opening 4 by the pressure of the bubble and communicates with the outer air. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
