The clutch system for a double clutch of a parallel gearbox comprises hydraulic control transmitting and receiving actuators allocated to the two clutches. The leak identification method comprises determining the value (B1) of the modification of the clutch position of the receiving actuator of the inactive clutch and/or the value (B2) of the modifications of the transmission functions of the two clutches. The leak is noted when one of the values exceeds a predetermined value.
