<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for fruit, enabling a cause related to an increase in a commodity cost to be eliminated by avoiding the troublesome operation of sticking a bar code label or the like to the container with assistance, recyclable after use, having no possibility of the generation of noxious gas or of the flow-out of chlorine even in the case of waste disposal, and capable of making effective use of resources. <P>SOLUTION: The container 1 made of a synthetic resin sheet is opened at its upper part and has a flanged edge 3 which is formed at the peripheral edge 2 of an opening so as to protrude outward. The container is made of a PET resin material as a whole and is formed into a rectangular shape.
