<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a pedal reaction characteristic changed optionally, while reducing cost and compactifying a size. <P>SOLUTION: This stroke simulator 2 is provided with an elastic member 16 of which the expansion-directional one end connected rotatably to a brake pedal 6, a slider part 18a for connecting rotatably the expansion-directional other end of the elastic member, a slide support part 18b for supporting linearly movably the slider part while making the elastic member extendably, a direct- acting actuator 18 for motion-controlling the slider part up to a prescribed position on the slide support part, and a pedal control input detecting means 14 for detecting a pedal control input for the brake pedal. In the simulator, a moving direction of the slider part is arranged to make an expansion direction of the elastic member substantially perpendicular thereto, and the direct-acting actuator is controlled based on the pedal control input detected by the pedal control input detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
