PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for peeling off optical fiber coating material. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a heating unit provided with a fixed groove and for holding a first part of a fiber ribbon provided with coating material from both sides and heating the first part, a peeling unit provided with an interposed groove and for holding a second part of the fiber ribbon provided with coating material from both sides and separating movable optical fiber coating material of the fiber ribbon cut off by a cutter, wherein the interposed groove is adjacently connected to the fixed groove, the cutter located at either of the heating unit and the peeling unit and used to cut off the coating material of the fiber ribbon, a base fixing unit for fixing a fiber array base, installed firmly in a hollow housing chamber of the heating unit or the peeling unit, and for housing the fiber array base, and a linear guiding unit for limiting and guiding the moving direction of the heating unit and the peeling unit when they are separated.
