<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for an automobile capable of receiving an approach load evenly with a short width in the front/rear directions for receiving the load. <P>SOLUTION: Seats 1 are mounted left and right inside a compartment divided by a vehicle body, and a seat side reinforcing member 9 extending in the vehicle width direction is mounted inside a seat cushion 4 of each seat 1. A plurality of the seat side reinforcing members 9 are mounted almost at the same height. An end part 9a of each seat side reinforcing member 9 is formed to project from the seat cushion 4, and connected/supported by a strength member 10 extending in the front/rear directions of the automobile between the end parts 9a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
