PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile image processor, to enhance productivity of an imaging apparatus capable of multiline recording and to provide an imaging apparatus capable of printing with multi-laser beam easily and inexpensively.

SOLUTION: The image processor 102 receiving image data line by line and outputting image data of a plurality of lines in parallel to a multiline recording section recording a plurality of lines simultaneously comprises an inverter 105 for inverting the polarity of the received image data, and a selector 106 for outputting the received image data after inverting the polarity thereof through the inverter 105 or outputting it without inverting the polarity.
