摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a structural safety by reducing a damage to a wall surface material by the collision of debris flow with a rather simple structure, hold an original high permeability as compared with that obtained by taking a con ventional measure against the impact of debris flow by banking, and assure a sufficient sand storage capacity on a upstream side in a steel frame weir bank formed by filling filler material in a steel box frame of framework struc ture. SOLUTION: This steel frame weir bank comprises a steel frame body having column materials, beam materials 4, and wall surface materials 5 and the filler material 6 filled therein. A plurality of damping steel pipes 2 on the outside of the wall surface materials 5 arresting the filler material 6 on the upstream side of the steel frame body at intervals of 1.5 or less times the maximum diameter of gravels flowing down in the debris flow so that the gigantic gravels can collide with the damping steel pipes to deprecess them. Thus the kinetic energy of the gravels allowed to flow down by the debris flow can be absorbed and the debris flow can be stopped safely. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
