摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a liquid crystal device and a display system having high reliability and excellent a display characteristic. SOLUTION: Analog switches TFT 20-11 to 20-nm are divided into (n) blocks with (m) pieces as one block. When the amplitudes of input signals to be supplied to source areas of the analog switches are made 5 volts or lower, and the potentials to be applied to the counter electrodes of the pixel electrodes connected with pixel transistors are made counter electrode potential, the polarity of the counter electrode potential to the input signals is inverted for each horizontal scanning period. In a horizontal blanking period, a period for turning off the analog switches TFT is arranged. In the horizontal blanking period, the polarity of the potential to be applied to the counter electrodes is inverted, and then the analog switches TFT are turned on and a period for applying a necessary potential to the signal lines is arranged.
