A patient controlled, implantable drug infusion system for administering medicine including a system (12, 14, 20) for administering analgesia to a patient that allows the patient to control theanalgesia infusion rates within limits prescribed by a physician for that particular patient. Also disclosed is a patient informations feedback system including a device and method that links this informations pertaining to a patient's physical assessment and activity level with a particular drug therapy.
