<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display on which flickers are visually not recognized even if low frequency driving is performed at 45 Hz or lower, and which is capable of performing high quality display with low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display performs display by sequentially supplying scanning signal voltages to a plurality of scanning lines and thereby sequentially selecting pixel electrode groups connected with the same scanning lines from the pixel electrodes, and supplying display signal voltages to the pixel electrodes of the selected groups via signal lines. In each of a plurality of rows and each of a plurality of columns, a plurality of the pixel electrodes are arranged so that the polarity of the voltage to be applied to the liquid crystal layer differs at each certain number of pixel electrodes, and also the display signal voltages supplied to each of the plurality of pixel electrodes are re-written with a frequency of 45 Hz or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
