<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in absorptivity of UV rays and excellent productivity without causing a trouble by pressure on the film and to provide a polarizing plate and a display device using the above optical film. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film contains a UV absorbent expressed by general formula (1). In formula (1), each of R<SB>0</SB>and R<SB>1</SB>represents a hydrogen atom, 1-25C alkyl group, 7-9C phenylalkyl group or unsubstituted or 1-4C alkyl group- substituted phenyl group, substituted or unsubstituted oxycarbonyl group or substituted or unsubstituted aminocarbonyl group, and each of R<SB>2</SB>to R<SB>5</SB>and R<SB>19</SB>to R<SB>22</SB>represents a hydrogen atom or a 2-20C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
