PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a steering operation in a steering device in which a signal or the like to indicate a myoelectric potential of a driver is a steering signal. SOLUTION: A right-side envelope signal SeR and a left-side envelope signal SeL to indicate the envelope of a myoelectric potential signal of a driver are input in a microcomputer as a motor control means. The microcomputer calculates a target steering angleθt by a formulaθt=K1*(SeR-SeL) (where, K1 is a predetermined coefficient) (S364) if either of the right and left envelope signals SeR or SeL is larger than a thresholdε(a positive value in the vicinity of 0), or sets the target steering angleθt to be '0' (S366) for returning to a mid-point if the right and left envelope signals SeR and SeL are not larger than the thresholdε. The microcomputer calculates a voltage command value by a control operation based on the deviationθt-θbetween the target steering angleθand the detected valueθof the steering angle by the steering angle sensor.
