PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink stick whereby more ink sticks can be inserted more flexibly. SOLUTION: The ink stick 830 for use in a phase change inkjet printer has a longitudinal dimension 865 along the length of a feed path of the printer, and a lateral dimension 869 substantially perpendicular to the length of the feed path.
