摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail type fuel injection system further improved in injection quantity accuracy by restricting a fluctuation of the injection quantity in relation to the main injection when performing the fine pilot injection before the main injection in multistage injection. SOLUTION: Injection start delay time is measured with an injection start delay time grasping method to compare the real measurement value of the injection start delay time with a standard injection start delay time at the injection pressure when injecting. When the injection start delay time is long, main injection command pulse time is adjusted to be longer in response to a difference between the real measurement value of the injection start delay time and the standard injection start delay time, and when the injection start delay time is short, the main injection command pulse time is adjusted to be shorter in response to a difference to restrict a fluctuation of the fuel injection quantity to be really injected into cylinders of an engine, namely, a fluctuation of the injection quantity.
