PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper stock separating and cleaning unit, improved in separation and removal efficiency of lightweight foreign materials, such as air. SOLUTION: This paper stock separating and cleaning unit is equipped with a screen cylinder 101 and a cylindrical rotor 106 which has a spherical surface facing the inner surface of the screen cylinder 101, and used in separating and cleaning the paper stock by centrifugation action due to rotation of the cylindrical rotor 106 and filtration action of the screen cylinder 101, wherein a rotary disc 121 having a diameter larger than that of the cylindrical rotor 106 is concentrically mounted on one of edge surfaces of the cylindrical rotor 106 positioned on a side into which the paper stock to be cleaned is flowed.
