PURPOSE: A method for controlling a dehydrating course of a driving motor for a washing machine is provided to perform the dehydrating course after matching tooth forms of a spin gear and a pulley gear by repeatedly rotating and stopping the motor for a predetermined time in the dehydrating course, accordingly prevent the damages of the spin and pulley gears and improve the reliability of products. CONSTITUTION: In a washing machine performing a washing course by separating a pulley gear from a spin gear by the release of a clutch and performing a dehydrating course by engaging the pulley gear with the spin gear by the constraint of the clutch and a method for executing the dehydrating course by the rotary power of a driving motor, a dehydrating course controlling method of the driving motor is composed of steps of forward-rotating and stopping the driving motor for a predetermined time and the predetermined number of times after constraining the clutch when the washing course is finished, according to the course changing signal supplied from the outside(401,402,403) and performing the dehydrating course when the tooth forms of the pulley and spin gears are matched by repeatedly forward-rotating and stopping the driving motor for the predetermined time(404,405). |
