PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool unit and a cutting method, which can cut a laminated body provided with a protecting member on a surface of a material without staining or damaging the surface of the material. SOLUTION: When the tool unit 3 disposed on the surface of the laminated body is driven in the cutting direction, two cutting edges 4, 4 arranged on a second cutting tool 2 so as to form a V shape in a plane perpendicular to the cutting direction produce two cut grooves mainly on a second workpiece. In this case, burrs and projections, which may cause peeling of the second workpiece, are not produced in the neighborhood of the cutting surface to form the cut grooves outside the cutting edges 4, 4. After that, the region between the two cut grooves of the second workpiece is removed by a first cutting tool 1, and also a first workpiece between the two cut grooves is cut.
