PURPOSE: A method for managing a signal link in a switching system is provided to increase the stability by making load assignment between signal links, thereby decreasing loss of messages. CONSTITUTION: If a state of an SLS(Signal Link Selection) is changed, the SLS is divided between act links in a link set. It is confirmed whether the rest of the SLS exist. It is confirmed whether the remainder obtained by dividing the whole SLS bits by the number of act links is 0. If the rest of the SLS exist, the corresponding SLS is marked as a limited SLS. The changed details are transmitted to the corresponding user part. If the rest of the SLS do not exist, it is confirmed whether a limited SLS do not exist originally. If so, the limit mark to the whole SLS is released. The changed details are transmitted to the corresponding user part.
