PURPOSE: A method and system for outputting information on a computer system are provided to display the information generated from other system as well as the computer system. CONSTITUTION: An information input part(201) inputs information by using a keyboard, a mouse, a stylus, or a touch panel. A system controlling part(220) controls the function of a notebook computer in order to make the information provided from the system on a display part(220) if an information sharing mode is set. The system controlling part(202) makes a user select the system to receive the information by outputting a message to the display part(220). If the user wants to receive the information from a main body of a desktop computer, the system controlling part(202) receives the information from the main body by transmitting the information inputted from the information input part(201) to an information transmitting part(211). The system controlling part(202) receives the information from the main body through the information receiving part(212).
