PURPOSE: A method for forming a slot at the end of a hollow pipe member is provided to quickly and easily form a plurality of slots at the hollow pipe member by using a plurality of cutting blades. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming a slot at the end of a hollow pipe member comprises the steps of: vertically putting a plurality of pipes(1) on a lower die(2a); cutting the upper part of each pipe with a plurality of cutting punches(10) installed at an upper die(2b); forming a plurality of slots at the upper part of the pipe. A plurality of cutting blades(10a) are radially formed at the circumference of the cutting punch.
