PURPOSE: A voltage control type variable optical attenuator and a fabricating method thereof are provided to change a ratio of attenuation by using the mismatch of an optical axis between two optical fibers. CONSTITUTION: A voltage control type variable optical attenuator includes the first groove(107), the first cover(113), the second groove(108), the second groove(114), a piezoelectric actuator(102), a frame(101), and a fastening screw(115), and a voltage control driving circuit. The first groove(107) and the first cover(113) include the first optical fiber(109). The second groove(108) and the second groove(114) include the second optical fiber(110). An optical axis is aligned by inserting and fixing the first and the second fibers(109,110) into the first and the second grooves(107,108).
