<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable massager with a pair of treating elements having a large amount of dynamic displacement in both horizontal and vertical directions, thereby enlarging the treatment range to attain well-modulated massage feeling close to the massage by the hand. <P>SOLUTION: This portable massager includes a pair of driving shafts 11, 12 disposed opposite to each other with such a gradient that they are increased in space from the bases end toward the forward ends, a pair of inclined shafts 5, 6 extended form the tips of the respective driving shafts obliquely at the substantially same angle of inclination, a pair of treating elements 3, 4 rotatably provided at the forward end sides of the inclined shafts, and a driving mechanism for rotating the paired driving shafts in the opposite directions at the same speed so that the paired inclined shafts move in synchronization with each other substantially mirror-symmetrically. The respective inclined shafts are revolved along the conical surfaces of the virtual inverted cones having the vertexes on the central axes of the corresponding driving shafts, thereby causing the treating elements to oscillate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
