PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a school bag which can increase more width of space to store notebooks, or the like, without increase in the width of a back plate and can easily store big textbooks and notebooks of A4 size, or the like. SOLUTION: In the school bag, a back side of a gusset 10 is attached with a folding part 11 which is folded inward, the folding part 11 is joined together to a rear face side of the back plate 8, and a front face of the gusset 10 is attached flush with a side rim 12 of the back plate 8.
