PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope skipping gear capable of detecting rotation of the rope with high precision. SOLUTION: The rope skipping gear equipped with a built-in electronic circuit is provided with the rope with one end and the other end, a first grip connected to the one end of the rope and a second grip connected to the other end of the rope, wherein the first grip retains the center axis of the rope near the one end of the rope parallel to the generator of a cone surface previously determined and has a rope retaining part for retaining the one end of the rope so as to be able to rotate for the rope around the axis of the cone surface, a detection part for detecting rotation of the one end of the rope around the axis of the cone surface and a signal generating part for outputting a detected signal when the detection part detects the rotation.
