PURPOSE: A method for designing a robot to protect the robot working in bad conditions is provided to protect a robot arm from heat or moisture when the robot arm is not operated by installing a protection box. CONSTITUTION: A robot includes robot arms(5,7) for performing work and mounted at a drive plate. A protection box is coupled with the drive plate, and forms a space therein. The drive plate moves the robot arms into the protection box when the robot arms are not operated.
