PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod effectively suppressing the greasiness of a fishing line over a long period. SOLUTION: The fishing rod comprises a middle rod 3 thereof having a cylindrical body part 11, each padding part 12 which is a part formed at an interval kept in the axial direction and having a peripheral surface of an increased diameter and an increased wall thickness than those of the body part 11 and protrusions 13 continuously formed in a helical form in the shaft direction on the peripheral surface of the body part 11 between the shaft directions of the adjacent padding parts 12. The height (ΔX) of the adjacent padding parts 12 from the body part 11 is higher than the height (ΔY) of the protrusions 13 from the body part 11 between the shaft directions of the adjacent padding parts 12. The protrusions 13 are composed of a prepreg material processed into a stringy form. A slide guide 20 is arranged in the middle rod 3 and has a pipelike fixed part 21 arranged on the peripheral surface of the rod body in a state of passing the middle rod 3 therethrough. The inside diameter of the fixed part 21 of one slide guide 20 in the plurality of slide guides 20 coincides with the outside diameter of the corresponding padding parts 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
