PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the closed state of a cover and to prevent a human body from being brought into contact with electrolytic water generating electrodes safely by surely coating the cover on a bathtub when a voltage is applied to the electrodes. SOLUTION: A leg bath comprises: a detector for detecting the opened or closed state of the cover 44 for coating on the opening of the bathtub 6 and including sensors 48a, 48b made of Hall ICs for outputting a signal in response to the opening or closing of the cover, a control circuit 54 made of a microcomputer for generating an output in response to the outputs from the sensors, and a deciding circuit 58 for judging that the cover is closed only when both the sensors and the control circuit generate outputs corresponding to the closed state of the cover; and the electrolytic water generating electrodes 16a, 16b to which the voltage is supplied only when the closed state of the cover is decided by the deciding circuit.
