PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding apparatus with which the occurrence of welded defect is prevented by supplying the air having low moisture content and perfectly removing bedewed moisture. SOLUTION: A nozzle member 44 is arranged at the front end part 40 of a welding torch 14, and a welding wire supplying hole 48 for supplying the welding wire 38 is formed at the center of the nozzle member 44. Further, blowing holes 46, 46... for blowing the air having the low moisture content are arranged in the nozzle member 44. When the welding is performed, the surroundings of the welding position 33 is kept to the low moisture content with the air having low moisture content supplied from the blowing holes 46 into the inner part of a cone cover 42, and the dew condensation 100 stuck to piping 30 is vaporized and removed and then, the welding of the piping 30 and the member 32 is performed. In this way, the welding can be performed without passing through and staying the steam in a welded bead 39 and without causing blow hole and pit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
