PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a molten metal taking-in hole which can bear high shielding pressure in a molten metal holding furnace for high pressure casting. SOLUTION: A reinforcing annular part 25 is arranged around a closed pot 12 and the molten metal taking-in hole 13 communicated with the closed pot 12 is formed in the reinforcing annular part 25 and therefore, even in the case of bringing a valve into press-contact with the molten metal taking-in hole 13 at the high pressure of≥10 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>, since the reinforcing annular part 25 is arranged around the whole periphery of the closed pot 12, this press- contacting power is not worked as an unbalanced load, but the pressure is loaded on the whole body of the reinforcing annular part 25, and the load on the molten metal taking-in hole 13, is dispersed to hold the strength, so that the breakage is not caused.
