PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover the environment of soil by decontaminating the contaminated soil at a low cost in a short period of time. SOLUTION: High-viscosity naturally decomposable liquids (20, 21) are injected into the periphery and the bottom of the contaminated area (10) of the soil by an injecting means (2) to surround the area (10) by walls of the liquids (20, 21). The area (10) surrounded by the walls is narrowed gradually by the injection by the means (2) and the suction by a sucking means (5) to concentrate a contaminant in the central part. The soil (10C) containing the contaminant of high concentration is taken out to recover the environment of soil. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
