PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system which is miniaturized/lightened to muffle noise and suitable for carriage as well even when a plurality of pumps are adopted. SOLUTION: A pump unit 5 to be used for the endoscope system has an air/gas feed pump 50 built in a muffler case 52 and a suction pump 51 located outside the muffler case 52, a feed port 65 which is not connected to the suction pump 51 on the side of an endoscope is connected to a hole 63 of the muffler case 52 via a tube 64, and even the suction pump 51 located outside the muffler case 52 is muffled by the muffler case 52. Thereby, the system has a muffling function, and is miniaturized/lightened and structured suitably for carriage as well even when the plurality of pumps 50 and 51 are provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
