PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a grip end and provide a holding feeling when a nut member is retreated or advanced to contact the grip end. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has the grip 18 using a more flexible member than a rod body 10 and a reel mounting part 12. The nut member 12N for moving a movable hood 12A back and forth is provided on one end side of the front and rear of at least the reel mounting part 12. The end 20 of the grip 18 opposite to the nut member 12N in the front and rear directions and interfering with the nut member 12N is composed so that the end 20 is formed of a member having lower brittleness than that of the grip 18 and more flexible and elastic than the nut member 12N.
