<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide retort porridge, preventing the cracks of rice granules during cooking, and swelling of the rice granules and attachment of retort smell during preservation, and excellent in eat feeling, etc., and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the retort porridge comprises a rice-cooking process of cooking rice added with water for cooking in a rice- cooking pot to obtain porridge, a mixing process of adding an aqueous solution of a thickening agent obtained by dissolving the thickening agent in water to the porridge and mixing to obtain a thickening agent-added porridge, a filling process of filling the thickening agent-added porridge into a retort container and a pressurizing and heat-sterilization process of pressurizing and heat-sterilizing the thickening agent-added porridge filled in the retort container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
