PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work bench for placing a panel member 25 such as a liquid crystal panel and a plasma display panel and performing work and inspection, allowing to place the panel member even if the panel member 25 changes in outline dimensions and allowing to easily work in a natural posture. SOLUTION: This work bench is provided with a space adjusting mechanism 2 for adjusting the space between a pair of holding members 11 pressing and holding both side ends of the panel member 25, whereby even if the panel member 25 is different in outline dimensions, it can be fixed and held. Further, the work bench is provided with a means for tilting the face of the panel member 25 or changing the height thereof, whereby the face of the panel member 25 can be freely changed depending on the work so that the load of a worker can be reduced and the work efficiency can be heightened.
