PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block meat slicer scarcely damaging a block meat surface and capable of evenly slicing even a block meat having a soft surface. SOLUTION: A meat placement table 1 tilted forward by about 45 degrees is constructed swingably about a support 3 provided at a rear part of the meat placement table 1. A pressing tool 6 freely moving in and out is equipped at a position above a front end of the meat placement table 1 for pressing the surface of the block meat 5 placed on the meat placement table 1 when the meat placement table 1 is moved slantingly upward. The slicer is provided with a catch plate 7 for receiving a front end surface of the block meat 5 and a cutting blade 10 for slicing the front end of the clock meat 5 as the meat placement table 1 moves upward slantingly, in confrontation with the forward end of the meat placement table 1.
