PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an endoscope which permits setting of a bending section at a bending angle suitable for applications with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The endoscope having the bending section operative to be bent at the distal end of an insertion portion is provided with a bending regulation barrel fitting on the outside of the insertion portion and existing on the outer side of the bending section and a barrel moving mechanism for moving the bending regulation barrel in the extension direction of the insertion portion.
