PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding chair for wall fixing, which can be safely used by an aged person or a physically challenging person because a handle used in assembly also serves as a safety rail, is not beeming an obstruction because a seating member can be lifted up so as to be in a state of a flat plate along a wall surface and can be utilized as an advertising space according to a place where the chair is fixed because a flat plate portion can be produced when the chair is housed. SOLUTION: In the folding chair that guide members are formed on both sides of a housing frame 1 fixed to a wall surface, or the like, and a seating member 2 is slid downward along the guide members as a guide therefor, two plates of the seating member 2 and a leg member 3, which are formed into a chair and joined to each other by a pivotable hinge, are engaged, a lower portion of the leg member 3 is pivotably fitted to the housing frame 1, and a stopper is provided in such a manner that sliding is stopped when a handle 4 provided on an upper portion of the seating member 2 is taken to slide the seating member downward along the guide members on both sides of the housing frame 1 until it runs parallel with a floor.
