Cosmetic composition containing a biotin compound an/or a complexing agent

A cosmetic composition comprising a biotin compound and a complexing agent capable of forming a complex with the biotin compound with a dissociation constant at 25degreesC 10-1 or less. The biotin compound and/or complexing agent are bonded to a fixing group (alpha, alpha' respectively) permitting covalent bonding to the hair and either or both bear one or more cosmetically active groups. Independent claims are included for a method of cosmetic treatment of keratinic matter, especially hair by grafting onto them the biotin compound and complexing agent and for a multi compartment kit containing in one compartment the biotin compound and in the other the complexing agent.
