PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the washing and rinsing performances of a washing machine especially using an electrolyzed water. SOLUTION: A washing member 19 having a lint filter 20 and an adsorbent 21 integrally is detachably mounted on a spout 18b of a circulation water channel 18 in which water is pushed up by the pumping action with the rotation of a pulsator 7. The adsorbent 21 is a nonwoven fabric made of fibers mainly composed of lipophilic polypropyrene that easily generates negative static electricity. When washing operations are performed with a specified amount of water stored in the tub 2, the adsorbent 21 works to adsorb Ca<SP>2+</SP>, Mg<SP>2+</SP>and the like as hard components contained in water by static electricity so that they are hindered from bonding to fat stains adhering to the washing to facilitate the separation of the stains from the washing. The adsorbent 21 also adsorbs fat and oil components in the water thereby blocking such stains from re-adhering to the washing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
