PURPOSE: A method for testing inter-processor connection is provided to easily debug and increase the productivity and the efficiency by searching for a specific processor generating troubles and grasping the accurate position of the specific processor. CONSTITUTION: An error is generated in an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) path(ST11). The number of intermediate processors and the intermediate processors to be inspected are confirmed(ST12). VP(Virtual Path)/VC(Virtual Channel) values of a cubit terminal are adjusted in setting intermediate processor SAR(Segmentation and Reassembly). Communication between an SRC(Simple Resource Control) processor and the intermediate processor to be inspected is checked(S14). It is judged whether a communication path is abnormal(ST15). If so, it is reported that the path between the SRC processor and the intermediate processor to be inspected is abnormal(ST16). If not, it is checked whether the current processor is the final intermediate processor to be inspected(ST17). If so, error inspection termination of the final processor is reported(ST18). If not, an SAR value of the intermediate processor finished the inspection is deleted(ST19). The process is moved to the next intermediate processor(ST20).
