PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing forged piston is provided, which simplifies manufacturing process of piston by forming the piston considering strain of the piston generated during the heat treatment process after forging in advance, and a mold for manufacturing the forged piston is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a mold for manufacturing forged piston comprising an outer mold(41) at which a hollow forming part(42) for forming the outer surface of the piston is installed, an inner mold(43) entered into forming part of the outer mold to form the inner surface of the piston, and a pressing member for forming the piston having head part and skirt part by pressing a work installed inside the forming part, the mold for manufacturing forged piston is characterized in that forming guiding groove(48) having a certain depth (t) is formed on the inner surface of the forming part of the outer mold to guide forming in such a way that outer diameter of the skirt part becomes less than outer diameter of the head part when forming the piston, wherein a curved surface part(49) having a certain curvature for guiding forming of the piston along with the forming guiding groove are formed on the circumferential part of an end part of the inner mold, wherein the curved surface part is positioned inside width (W) section of the forming guiding groove, and wherein an inclination plane(50) inclined to a certain angle (α) is formed at the end part of the inner mold so that the work to be formed is easily strained to the side of the forming guiding groove.
