PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and equally divide a tablet 4 in a planar tablet package 1 into two parts by simple operation with the tablet kept in a tablet housing part 3. SOLUTION: A linear long blade 28 shakable centering around the vicinity of the lower end thereof is vertically provided in opposed relation to a pressure receiving stand 36 on which the edge 29 thereof is vertically provided. In such a state that the center of the V-shaped receiving stand 9 of a suspended stand 7 is positioned within the shaking range of the edge 29, the suspended stand 36 is provided above the pressure receiving stand 36 and, in such a state that the center of the inverted V-shaped fitting part 17 of a centering appliance 16 is aligned with the edge 29, the centering appliance 16 is provided under the V-shaped receiving stand 9 in opposed relation to the edge 29. In the apparatus thus constituted, either one of the upper parts of the tablet housing part rows in the planar tablet package 1 is hooked with the V-shaped receiving stand 9 and the tablet housing part of either one of the central part and lower part in the tablet housing part rows 2 is fitted to the inverted V-shaped fitting part 17 and, after the planar tablet housing part rows 2 are erected along the edge 29, the planar tablet housing part rows 2 are cut.
